Bay Of Plenty Polytech Aquatic complex, Windemere. Not sure of the number. Took a minute or two of looking at their signage to fid it (even after asking my daughter where it was).

With a mixture of town and open road riding the fuel warning comes on (with 4 litres left), usually somewhere around 220km. Have hit 240km before the fuel warning a couple of times on a trip. Desn't seem to make any difference if I'm solo or two up (probably a touch quicker pace solo makes up for the extra weight of two up?). I know I can get 45km with the fuel warning on so in theory I could get just short of 300km from a tank but would rather fill it than push it.

Under all that fairing they only put a 17l tank. Have read somewhere that with the non ABS model (such as mine) you can get a 3.5litre auxilliary tank made to fit the gap where the ABS processor would have been.

thats a pity...a reckon a tad over 20 l would be nice.I like a bike that can do over 300 ie Welly Tauraunga with only one stop or even welly Auckland with only one stop.Must look up the capacities of the other beemer sport tourers...(the 1200st has 21 l,and the 1150 rs has 22 litres)
