Air flow?

Okay, I'm having a complete mind blank here. What is the name of the two symmetric plastic parts that track the air from the front of my fairing through to the frame and then on into the airbox?

Since we put the race fairings on, I'm having problems getting this part to sit flush up against the frame. And I guess that if all that good air is not getting to the airbox properly, then it will be robbing me of performance? Correct?

Any tips from people in the know?

It will have an effect at speed as the idea is to pressurise the air box with fresh, cold air from the front of the bike to produce a slight power increase.

The inlet tubes you are talking about can be called that, or snorkels or ram air tubes and probably a bunch of other things depending on who you are talking to.

Yeah, ram tubes, ram intakes - there seems to be an abundance of names for them which just adds to the confusion

Intakes are normally attached to the engine head...I suspect Ram air ducting or air trunking is more technically correct

It sound slike the race fairings are preventing the cooling air getting to where it did before the fairings were put on.

Surely the kit came with air intake vents for you to drill out and position precisely where they should be?
