Yes. Come off at Mt Wellington, turn left, head up the road a few hundred meters. There's a BK, a Caltex and plenty of parking.

Well... I just blew all my petty cash till payday on a new bike but that means

If I dont make it, i'll see you guys at the next one - only a couple of weeks iirc?

    Re Puke track

Not sure how true it is, but lots of talk in Puke atm about a major problem with the surface of the track, may pay to check if you day on Friday is still on. It would be a pisser to come out only to find it closed, am away most of today, but will make some inquires on my return.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

    I've just phoned the track,

PLEASE BE ADVISED THE TRACK IS CLOSED FOR RESEALING ON FRIDAY 8TH OF APRIL.

It will be open for racing on Sunday, but controlled testing on Friday is now cancelled.

Oh well, some of us still have Taupo on Sunday!

    Cool Open day format ??

Could some one who has attended one of these open days advise what format it takes. eg. Bike inspection?? attendees split into groups/(slow medium fast) or is it open slather? is it limited to a certain number of bikes on the track at one time. Thanks

lamo.. knew they wouldn't have it finished in time.
It's got to be ready for the V8s next weekend to rip it up, and I bet they do. Any bets the tar won't be strong enuff for a real beating from a dozen cages?

Yarg, you just head down there and as long as your bike doesn't show any vitael(sp?) damage, then you should be ok. Pays for piece of mind for you, that you bike is up to scratch. I think they used to scrutineer all the bikes, but they seem to have given up. You also need a full set of gear, leathers are prefered, but they're happy with me and my cordura suit.

Then the day is split into 20 minute sessions, and depending on what's there on the day. Usually it's something like bikes - saloons (road) - saloons (race (v8s etc)) - single seaters - bikes - saloons etc etc. Just 20 min cycles until you get bored. Sometimes there's drifters too. There's no timing except anyone else that's with you, no racing etc, it's there just to go round and round and round and round and round.. oh, and to have fun..

Hey, can someone please tell me where I can find a schedule for the year's open days? Or at least the latest news on when they will be?

I had no idea they had them on weekdays too. I work on weekends so this is stunning news
