    Who let the dogs out...

Anyone know where I can take my suzuki transmission to be machined... the dogs are rounded off.

Also, I require a thrust washer - see attached pictures. What grade of steel is required?

Cheers, glad someone on here picked up on what I was trying to say !

Posted my problem on suzuki forum also and they came back with this:

Yes, my previous question was on the same issue. I checked my transmission and those dogs on my gear were exactly the same. That is the way they came from the factory. Rounded to mate with the rounded slots they need to fit into. But on this gear only as stated above all other dogs should be undercut from factory. Checked all mine and was thankful thay are all like new with no wear whatsoever.
The gear in photo is primary gear, the rest all appear fine and are undercut from factory and in good condition.

Looks like it is simply a spacing issue - there is no thrust washer keeping the primary gear from touching the engine casing - thus pushing the primary gear about 3-4mm away from engaging 2nd gear.
