And that's how it was.

im a bit gutted today .. found out that an icon died yesterday..
Walter Cronkite, once called the " Most Trusted Man in America" passed away at his home in New York at age 92
some of my first childhood memories were of watching the CBS Evening News with him in the Anchor chair.. reporting on JFK, the Moon Landings, Watergate, VietNam etc.. hoping to catch a glimpse of my dad in some newsreel from the jungle..there was never any "Entertainment News", stupid stunts or flash graphics.. just good even reporting and history in the making
these plastic douchebag talking heads they have on the news now just annoy the shit out of me .. Cronkite was a consummate professional, but let his human side get passed the lens more than once.. one of the true pioneers..
And thats the way it is...Sunday, July 19 2009...
goodnight Mr. Cronkite
Well put, Sarge.
RIP Walter.
