Toto do you have a whole album full of these?

I would be interested to come along if I don't need to work.
The FZR is still new to me so I have no intention of going fast.
Which way around? I like in Te Puke so will come up from there if anyone wants to join me

We should be doing this today. Stupid work. Anyway, a few questions for people coming on the ride:

    1) Where would you like to meet? Bombay servo/shops? Gather there at 9am, or gather earlier and leave at 9am?

    2) What are the best places to stop along the way?

    3) Clockwise/anticlockwise, or work that out on the day?

Cool to see lots of people keen and with a good attitude.

Thumbs up 10 Things the Coro taught me yesterday

#1 Cops doing 130km/h on the motorway with no lights or siren wont stop you for following behind them

#2 Take a fricken camel back (water thingy in a bag) even on a cold day

#3 DO NOT let other riders push your speeds up by sitting behind you . If they really are faster than you they'll pass you.

#4 Even though its been sunny all day 50% of the corners are under the shade and are still damp.

#5 Yes the scenery is beautiful No your not allowed to stare at it while you are riding!!

#6 Your bike can perform better than you can. Even though it feels like the wrong thing to do, if you need to straighten up in the corner and crank it hard over to avoid a possum it can handel it.

#7 Following on from above, possums are had as rock and slippery as soap.

#8 Don't get on ur bike straight after eating 2 pies and a coke

#9 Reccomended speeds are higher than those on SH16 ie a 65 corner is more like a 55 if you were on SH16.

#10 (As stated in the Auckland tag-o-rama thread) If a car boot opens infront of you, don't rely on aerodynamics to keep it closed cos it wont stay closed.... Back the fuck off

    1) Drury autobahn/BP, leaving by 10am should be all good.

    2) Coroglen pub, coromandel lookout.

    3) Only been anticlockwise once but absolutely loved it! Awesome to finish the coro with the nice twisty coast section.

Yea I've only done it anticlockwise but the road from the pauanui turnoff to kopu is lots of fun and its not as narrow and is in better condition than the coast road.

Sounds like it could be a good ride with other 250cc bikers. I will try and join in. Has anyone added this to the calendar yet?

The weather around the Coromandel was glorious today, I did a half loop today. Waihi, Coroglen, Tapu (got some gravel practise), Thames, Waihi. It was great

Im keen if the weather is nice. Any chance we can meet at Bombay? Means I have to backtrack a bit if we dont, to get to the Drury truckstop, not too much hassle if we cant though.

Are there many gassies on the way? My GN doesnt have a very big petrol tank and the reserve doesnt always work even though there is gas in it.

Yep you'll be easily fine in terms of gas. Think the most I've ever topped up at one of the stops has been like 6L lol.

Preferably people on 250s, but any bike is fine as long as the rider isn't trying to set some sort of Coro loop lap record. Make a day out of it so we have plenty of time to stop and rest for those in the group who would still be coming to grips with riding that sort of distance in a day.

    Who'd be keen?
Can i come too, can i, can i.
I am always keen for another loop. I have a 750 tho'. Can you forgive me?

Just imagine i'm riding three bikes at once.
