I got all my gear before I got my bike (Hwever I did ride it down from KeriKeri but that's not the point). When I was scootling I wore a jacket, helmet and gloves, plus jeans and sneakers.

I'm ATGSOTT, and then it's SOTGSOTT except for the occasional NGEFH.
But then I'm already brain damaged anyways![]()
I've relaxed a bit. I got all the gear before I got the bike (brought it over from the UK, and suffered in heavy-duty gear in in the NZ summer!). I now wear draggins or thick jeans when it's hot and round town, jacket, boots and gloves. The cordura trousers and back protector goes on when I leave town too.
My folks were all about ATGATT when I were a lass, so it kinda stuck with me. It's like wearing a seatbelt, it felt really odd the only time I rode in trainers..
has developed a love of big fours. WTF!
helmet, covered shoes, pants and gloves
that half hat would be me, thats a bit mean andrew. What andrew fails to tell is I actually have four helmets, three of which are full face. I pick and choose as I like. Not like my "half hat" is even that...its a davida. They is nice dontcha know. They come all the way down to the base of my skull and offer lots of protection.
I advocate atgatt as I follow it, better than you or others I meet. I also own two pair of riding boots, draggins, full cordura, two pairs of gloves etc etc.
I think everyone gets all fired up about the topic when they get into m/c...I have come to realise people will ride in whatever they feel like. My answer is meh. Atgatt is all good but if your riding along wearing a t shirt I aint gonna stop you and give you a lecture....just enjoy the ride.
