    Thumbs down Fuckin' tailgaters!

    God - I HATE!! Tailgaters!!

Today - would have to be my worse expereince yet of some wanker following right up my arse on SH1 coming out of Hamilton - the traffic ahead of me was travelling at 80-90km/hr & there were no passing lanes.....

This fuckwit was travelling 2 metres MAX behind me at 90-100MAX & made me feel very uncomfortable - I applied the brakes a little - then accelerated in an attempt to raise his attention to the dangerous driving he was doing.....then just before coming into Ngaruawahia - he passed me - giving ME the fingers FFS! So - in the 70km area - I was in the process of passing him & he tried swerving to the right to sideswipe me, I avoided & passed him, plus the two cars in front - got a little dicey, but I thought - fuck this - this wanker won't get away with it - tooted as I went past & gave him the two fingered salute back.

Was I wrong to do this? Should I of just let him get away with his dangerous driving & most likely continue what he does? I don't know - but I can't stand pricks like this & as always - it's the cars that are the major problem here.

Thoughts anyone? Anyone want to share their stories of these Road Wankers?

It's a bit of a piss off, but get as far away from dangerous drivers as you can.

If you can, let them pass you. And I wouldn't bother trying to catch up with them.

You'll end up as part of their accident.

I carry a gun for these purposes.
Fear is never a reason to quit. It's only an excuse.

I agree - but I get fuckin' sick of these arseholes - they spoil the enjoyment of a nice ride for everyone - they think they own the bloody road - could NOT believe how he tried to sideswipe me though....woah!

Pretty much what I do, pull over, let the cunt pass.

Sometimes in 50kph zones, if I get tail gated I'll slow down to 10kph.

Even then some don't quite understand

i would never overtake a car that previously was endangering my life... thats just asking for trouble as you already know they are deranged mental patients who got let out for the day. if anything, i force them to pass me so i can see exactly what they are doing, which is safer than watching mirrors.

in all honesty, worrying about every fuckwit on the road will do more to shorten your life than the drivers themselves. once they are gone, just give yourself a shake to loosen up, force a smile onto your face and enjoy whats left of the ride.

Sound advice - I agree I should follow this & just accept that there are a lot of fuckwits out there & life preservation is most important thing of all - regardless of how infuriating these cunts can be.

I usually tap the brake a few times in the hope they'll back off. When that doesn't work, slow down and make the c**t wait.

zim... i admit that i have been tempted to follow some people, but in the end its not worth the risk. instead, i try and make a mental note of vehicle/driver details so i can keep an eye out in the future. doesnt do much good being right if you end up dead.

one time, coming back from the naki, i had a car up my backside... not being aggressive, just refusing to pass.
we come to an uphill passing lane, and my bike drops power like someones pulled the plug out. the car still refuses to pass. in the end, i dropped to about 60k to force them to pass as i was sick of them being there for no good reason.

    Pull over,
    get off ya bike,
    walk around it once,
    get back on then continue.
The agression is NEVER worth it.
Dont let the "nice" person rent stress room in your head.
You are in control, not them .
Exersize that control by taking yourself safley out of the danger zone.
Let them continue on their Darwin experiance without you.

I happen to think the OP is master of his own destiny here.

    Steve
"I am a licenced motorcycle instructor, I agree with dangerousbastard, no point in repeating what he said."
"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."
