Spare spark plugs taped to your handlebar and another 80hp should fix em. When driving trucks a E3 bottle poured out my side window used to make the cars back off. Didnt always have coke in it though. You know those rumours about truck drivers and long trips and piss stops not being stops.......

So - in the 70km area - I was in the process of passing him & he tried swerving to the right to sideswipe me, I avoided & passed him, plus the two cars in front - got a little dicey, but I thought - fuck this - this wanker won't get away with it - tooted as I went past & gave him the two fingered salute back.

Was I wrong to do this? Should I of just let him get away with his dangerous driving & most likely continue what he does? I don't know - but I can't stand pricks like this & as always - it's the cars that are the major problem here.
99% of his attitude was nothing you did. He probably had an argument with his partner, she refused to have sex with him the night before, the cat vomitted on his car seat etc... you were just the steam vent.

If someone toots or whatever, I just ignore. But a deliberate act of swerving to hit you is going too far. In the heat of the moment (and when reacting) you don't think about taking license plate numbers... but doing so and reporting it is the best course of action.

However - In the same situation - I would have done the same as you.

Yep. Reacting provocotively is mpre about your ego than what has happened.
Just let them go. No skin of your nose and you can go back to your ride.

For sure, same reason there is little point hating, hold grudges etc.
Just gives someone power over you and your thoughts and actions that they don't deserve.

Let it go, smile and carry on.

another thought i had if this happens in town and the driver insists on following you... head directly to the cop shop. either they are stupid and follow you inside the building, or they are smart and bugger off, and you can head inside to make a complaint. if the cop shop is too far away, go anywhere they have outside cctv cameras... petrol station etc.
i was warned by mum a while ago about mates of my brothers ex... she has major gang connections and had him almost killed at a pub once. i always watch my mirrors, and if someone follows me for more than a few corners, i head to the cop shop. or, if its closer, i head to the bp i used to work at. anywhere theres a crowd. the bp is doubly good as it has cameras on the forecourt.

mattian... ive only got a 250 and find it easy enough to get rid of tail gators by either pulling over, tapping brakes and slowing or slamming the brakes on so they nearly rear end me.
the brake slamming sees them back off quick smart, but i only do it when im really frustrated with their shit driving, cant be arsed pulling over and all other back off tricks have failed. figure if they do hit me, i get a new bike, and they learn a few manners.
only done it once after the same driver nearly collected me as i was turning right around a corner and she was going straight from a stop sign on my left. how the hell she missed, ill never know. but she proceeded to gate me for next k or so till i got sick of it and tapping the brake and slowing failed to work.

Or you could get run over and killed or hospitalised... Slamming on the brakes is ok in cage....but on a bike ..if the driver behind is a psycho or just a shit driver
    you could end up dead...

I always carry a couple of spare sparkplugs in my jacket pocket.

Apparently they have been known to jump out, over my shoulder, and onto the bonnet and windscreen of cars that tailgate.

But best avoided, pull over, take a five min chill and carry upon your way.

You could *555 them, but nobody likes telltales

only done it the once. i know the risk, hence why i only do it when nothing else has worked. its literally a last resort. i love the immediate acceleration of a bike. by the time she had realised what happened, i was moving again.

Had some Managing Threatening Situations training today and after hearing what has happened to people venting to other road users I would STRONGLY recommend doing nothing yourself. If possible get the person's car details and report them to the police. The guys train us is ex police and he said if you had been able to get the number plate the police would have done this prat for dangerous driving!!!!!!

Today - would have to be my worse expereince yet of some wanker following right up my arse on SH1 coming out of Hamilton - the traffic ahead of me was travelling at 80-90km/hr & there were no passing lanes.....

This fuckwit was travelling 2 metres MAX behind me at 90-100MAX & made me feel very uncomfortable - I applied the brakes a little - then accelerated in an attempt to raise his attention to the dangerous driving he was doing.....then just before coming into Ngaruawahia - he passed me - giving ME the fingers FFS!

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
    Wish you were here. QWQ

If Karma works, why'd this happen to sunhuntin in the first place?
