Hey Hogfire, I put a PC III on my DL and it smoothed things out, but no noticeable increase in power. Most people I have talked to said not to do the PC before trying a TRE as that made a huge difference. One guy was a SV1000 rider. I will be getting one soon as well but not sure if it is applicable to your bike? Worth your while to have a good browse on the SV forums for a heads up. Triplzee do both a dynotune for your PC and TRE's I believe. Oh- and they will give good advice as well!

How much does it cost to get a custom map done? or is there no average/ normal cost?
You dont muck about do you, maybe a bit late for you but not for others
teka tuner will plug in and can tune the stock ecu. I believe tripleR in chch has one.
Would a 700km round trip be worth saving $700?
In Auckland try john@triplezee or ray clee
On my DL1000 Triplezee removed the secondaries and tuned with the teka $300 all up. Mad a helluva diff especially top end. Beats the $1200 quote i got for pc3 and custom map

I think it is. Has an aluminium vin number and a sticker saying about the noise silence system for aussie standards

I had a PCIII fitted by GP Honda in Mt Maunganui at the start of the month. My bike had a Scorpion can but was other wise stock. The PCIII was fitted in conjunction with a K&N and custom mapped. Peak HP went from 151 to 162 and was stronger right through the range as was torque. money well spent

Just be careful... DynoJet WON'T back up a PC that wasn't purchased through their local agents, if it goes tits up.
I had a PC develop a fault in it (on my K4 GSX-R1000), it was about three weeks out of warranty, but the local importer replaced it foc anyway
