    Joe Rocket

I'm looking at purchasing a Joe Rocket Leather Jacket 1.2 MM LEATHER, CE RATED PROTECTORS IN SHOLDERS AND ELBOWS. REMOVABLE VEST LINER, and removable back armour.
Can anyone tell me if this is a good brand or anything to check first? Also I was thinking about adding removing back armour and putting in back protector instead? Would I have to buy specific to brand of Jacket or would anything do?
    Confused... Thx for any suggestions.
    Cheers,
    Rhonda

Are you going to get leather pants at the same time? If often pays to get ones that can be zipped together to form a semi one piece.

I'd also Google that brand. Do you get many negative posts coming up? If not, that is a good sign.

And trying searching these forums as well.

I'd also take a read of the ACC web site below (look at the gear guide).

Id look for a brand that have backup here in NZ as Joe Rocket doesnt have any dealers here anymore. Im not too happy with the quality of the Joe Rocket stuff either. Seen too much of the seams coming apart.
You cant go wrong with Alpinestars.

Otherwise check out Teknic as they have a fairly good range too.

I think there's suppose to be an apostrophe and a 't' in there somewhere.

Joe Rocket is a reasonably big brand overseas, reasonably popular and is slowly making it's way in here.

It is worn by a Superbike rider, I cannot remember who, if that means anything to you.
It's certainly better than most of the other options on tardeme, however I don't think it's as good as alpinestars etc but i'd happily wear the stuff.

As far as i'm concerned it's fine, here's a review I found on my FIRST search.

    http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/joe-r...et-set-jacket/

If you are going to wear a back protector it's really up to you if you leave your foam insert in. I don't bother.
Unless you are meaning replacing it with a better hard insert, in which case yes take it out.

I take it you mean a two piece.......

I disagree...joe rocket is very high quality stuff...and crashes fucking well..

I personally...am on my second alpinestars suit...and I'm not totally happy with it....I'll be buying Quasimoto or Arlen-ness Leathers next...for the quality and comfort...and outstanding crash worth-ness

Nope I think he meant a two piece that zips together right around the waist to form a "semi-one piece" as he put it.
