I love the natural confectionery company jellies one, with the cute little blonde. Doesn't everybody with a little girl want that stereotypical cuteness??

My dad can't stop laughing at the sky guys when they mess up the mafia's hair do... thats a good one, most of the sky guys are good ones

Both of the ads with Jade from miss popularity... just becoz of her... on the same note, there was that lynx24-7 ad. Last chick delivering pizzas. If only they all delivered like that

For the most part, I switch off during an add break, then switch on once the program resumes. Currently doing a stupid marketing paper, and tried telling my lecturer that (she asked something) and she said that I still subliminally (sp) got the message... really? how come I still don't recognise ads the 10th time around...

I have managed to find a new ad that I really like and relate to. Its the Burger King ad with the big bloke burger. Where they ask him if he likes lettuce, gerkin ect, and all he says is "NO!"

The point maybe a bit far fetched but it is there. Not everyone thinks the same so not every message will get across to everyone. Like SC said, that add was pretty powerfull so who ever got the message from that add would have been taken by the brand (which is the whole idea behind advertising).

I must agree though, it was mainly the song that did it for me.

The new Toyota add with the two Bulls nicking the Hilux is the best I've seen on telly for a LONG time.
    'outta the way Sheepshagger!'

I'm sure they'll get complaints about that line from the PC police so if you haven't seen it, keep an eagle eye out before it gets taken off!
    definitely 5 stars

Same thing with me, hate that rabbit food. Just wish those BK guys would get their stuff right. That sandwich has been out three times under different names since I have been in NZ. And that Texas BBQ thing was just insulting.

It's got to be the L&P ad for me at the moment with the Stubbies and mullets.
I still laugh at the bit in the Sky ad where they try to creep into the bar and pull the tv off the wall.

My favrouite add was for skittles that i saw while in canada.

A young man puts a bowl of skittles on the coffee table for his grandparents.
The grandma (quite old) takes a small handfull, and eats them.
Then leaps out of her chair and starts rapping something along the lines of
"YO, YO, check it, check it
    I'm a bad grand-Ma, Busting moves
    That'l Stop YA!!!"

as she says "stop ya" she pulls her jacket off from around her chest, and shows her grand-son (not us) her titties.

The young'n then quickly grabs a blanket and covers her up.....

    it made me laugh.

Anyone seen the Hilux add where the bulls steal it? Just saw it and thought it was pretty funny.

If it hasn't already been said, then without IMHO this is the finest advert that has ever been made (not suitable for you tight arses on dialup.):

    Ads

I may be a chick, but I think the Lynx ads are all very f***ing clever and they've also done spectaularly well worldwide in selling the product (yeah, I'm in the industry).

Do like the Steinlager ad even though I think it has bugger all to do with the beer. If you like the song, it's by a fab '80s British band called The Beloved and being the rather wonderful people they are, you can download it for FREE off their website www.thebeloved.com - check it out!!

Nokia did some great ads in the UK a few years ago for their new gaming handset...

Glad you think so - my mates made that ad, came up with the idea for it. You'll be pleased to know (or not) that one of them rides a Harley, in fact, he gave me my first ever ride on a bike about 12 years ago!!

A class add, and I hate adds. But respect where it's due (apart from the Harley).

I saw a documentary on TV about it some time ago. If it's genuine, and the TV prog said it was – showing the design, production and filming of it and the hundreds of attempts it took (making adjustments etc) - then it has at least to be the most ingenious adverts of all time.

    Bloody adverts.
