FXR troubles

My FXR is playing up again, stupid thing.
The engine won't start now, it turns over, but doesn't want to go, the spark has just been changed a little while back, and I looked at it today, seemed fine. so any idea's?

change the spark back the way it was.
What about the spark "plug"...have you checked that? :-)

the speedo on my bike i was on the main road doing 100 will thats what it sed but all of a sudden it jumps to 190 then to 160 then back down to 80 then up to 190 again ive got no idea what the prob is i was thinking might be the plug or the sensor im not to sure because it only seems to do it when up around 100, does any one have any idea what the prob is?

indy --work ya way through the A B Cs
rip the plug out and check you've got spark. the easy way is to use another plug in the plug cap and rest it agains the frame and press the starter button
It should have a big fat spark.
undo the drain plug in the carb -see if its got fuel.

Prey, how does one drain the carb on the FXR150?, as someone has suggested I should do.

I'm starting to have vehement feelings towards this bike

Nothing wrong with FXRs, don't blame the poor wee bike for the fact that you don't know anything about spannering...

Hey indy

at the bottom of the carb is a screw - as you undo, fuel should piss out from the bottom of the carb (best to have a vessel ready underneath, rather than have fuel pour out all over the engine.

If no fuel, (make sure you have fuel tap in on position first) probably:
- carb needle/float stuck - so no fuel can enter carb
- fuel tank filter blocked with crap (try reserve position - different filter)
- crap in fuel tap
