    Fuel tanks?

    anyone in chch make a fuel tank, under fiberglass tank cover, also oil catch bottle and water overflow, for race bike , anyone know anyone who wants some night work ? for cash

    sorry to hijack this thread, but could fiberglass be used to make a petrol tank?

    Yes, one of the reasons the VER was developed was to make chemical resistant tanks.

    http://www.canardzone.com/forum/ These people make fuel tanks out of glass, and I would hazard a guess they knew what they were doing.

    Yes, stock standard glass is fine, but the type of weave is going to have some importance in regards to strength. In other words, don't just build it all out of CSM. The resin is the important part, don't just use any old polyester resin for it, use a vinylester designed for the job.
