    Jester's Pies...

A couple of the Aussies I work with said they're great so I stopped in and got a $4.10 "Stockman" (I hate bullshit non-descript names, just like fuck'n Hell pizza - just call what it pretends to be FFS!) and it didn't even come close to being worthy of a return visit from me. "Chunks of tender steak" my arse!

A "healthy" pie is not a pie. It's a pastry sandwich.

I like to taste the fat in my pies. Mmmmm.

Muzza's Pies in Howick consistently provide the best pies that I've eaten in four continents. Anyone who disagrees is wrong.

Plus their tagline is gold - "Buy one or we'll be starve".

Too expensive for me. Nothing beats a bacon and egg pie from the bakery in Helensville at 6am. I remember those days... It was for one week

Being a local lad as well I'd agree about Muzzas. Jesters are round the corner their pies are just to bloody small for the price!!! Its the McD's syndrome I call it! Lota of mine and my sons mates have to buy two big macks to get full. Well thats bullshit I say! If you stopped at some burger joint in Ekatahuna, Featherston or some town like that and had to buy two of their burgers to get full you'd never go back. Bloody crappy deal at jesters i'd say LOL!!!

tried their butter chicken variant a while back...too pricey and a very average pie.

I had two today. Fairly good although the 6 pack pies from the supermarket (big ben?) drowned in tomato sauce are much better.

Aha, another Muzzas fan. Yes, tis the mecca of pies. Onya for suporting the local pie shop. They have a great sign over the door that says 'Buy one or we both go hungry.' Pure brilliance

Jesters are rubbish really, just preheated drivel served by a piggie corporate franchise...
