Parking the "wrong way" What law does it break?

It's not legal in the Uk, you have to park facing the flow of traffic. Nobody takes any notice of it though and I have never heard of anyone getting a ticket for it either.

Heh, my old man was done in the late 70's for that one as i remember him spitting feathers about it... quite understandable really as we lived in a culdesac and the car was parked outside the house... At the time i believe it was something to do with parking lights facing the wrong way...

Fave law: "Topless saleswomen are legal in Liverpool, England, but only in tropical fish stores"... bit iffy as to whether it's a current law...

Hmm. Steep angle and deep storm drains on some of the angle parking around here. Means you can't haul your bike backwards up hill and wot with the angle there's a realistic danger of it falling over if facing downhill (obviously left in gear).

I notice the local dibbles never bother about the following either :-
at any other time when you can't clearly see a person or vehicle 100 metres away.

The number of halfwits driving around with no lights on in thick fog astonishes me.

Reflectors are on the back of the car.
In daylight it's no problem, but I was going to move it before dark is no excuse because people are notorious liars.

Yea dude---its a car yard that closes before dark cars out there on display---kinda a no brainer i WOULD think

+1 esp here in foggy Hamiltron. It's still the idiots who think "I can see fine" and don't realise that they themselves are hard to see. Grrr
