Going to give Buckets a go this weekend...

I'm going to the AMCC Bucket meeting this weekend (18th-19th July) at the Mt Wellington track to have a go on a friends bike.

Anyone got any hints or tips for a first timer?

I'm wondering if this could be my next addition

Ride it like you stole it!!!!!

The only "real" buckets are 2 smokers.

    Brakes are unnecessary.

Extreme use of the clutch is necassary to carry corner speed.

Use your elbows, legs or whatever to knock the person trying to overtake you off their bike!

Bucket racing is awesome and like #1 say's SOOO addictive. You're gonna have a blast!

Actually I feel my addiction stirring...pity it's a Kaitoke round this weekend probably still be in need of an adult diaper anyway - ho hum...as you were.

BTW - Str8 has offered some damn fine advice OH and one more to add - don't throw any open paddies on the track if you crash - people watching tend to laugh at you A LOT!

HULK out moments are far more enjoyable than paddies.

I'm planning on being there about mid-day on Sat, but then I only have to turn up and ride.
