Christchurch overnight ride - August

Hi everyone. No doubt most have heard of my drivebelt woes. Am feeling seriously sorry for myself. Need something to look forward to once bike is sorted. That will be in a couple of weeks but gonna be getting cold then. Am wondering if anyone would be keen for a full weekends riding maybe sometime in august. Thinking maybe up Nelson way, stay the night, then back down the west coast, but I'm open to suggestions. Too far out to make any firm plans I guess but just wanting to get an idea if anyone would be interested in doing something like this.

Reckon I could be up for that. Haven't ridden up there at all and August calander is a little thin except for Cirque Du Soliel

I'm not sure wether I would be able to make it this far out, but think if you got a few togeather it would be a great weekend.

Yep, that sounds like a good idea. I don't know Nelson at all, so I'm happy to go along with the general consensus re accomodation. Anyone know a bike friendly motel??

Hey Rosie.. I am keen as too... and I can probably help out with some accomodation ideas.. though I am sure the nelson KB crew will sort us a deal.. thing will be the dates for me too... like HOT I am out if its after 21st August.. off to Canada !! Horse trekking in the Rockies! Woohoo! lol

Cool. Sounds like early August will be the go then. Shall we say 8th and 9th? Might as well set date now then everyone knows where they are.
