That sounds awesome, but I might have to raincheck it, this weekend we are in cleaning mode for getting the house ready for the landlords to put on the market. I think my weekends are going to be a bit up in the air for the next few weeks. But if I can get free should I drop you a text?

We are starting to pack already... starting with her books!!

So if ya have just got your 250cc bike or are about to get one come down on the Sunday 2nd August at anywhere between 9am and 10am to the Kingsgate Hotel in Hamilton and if you're hungry there is a buffet breakfast for only $10..

Nobody will get left behind, ride at you own pace, We have a couple of women on 250cc bikes as well so you won't be the only woman here when we ride... We look forward to seeing you there

If you have a bigger bike and don't want to ride with the throttle wide open or with your hair on fire you're more than welcome to come along too

I'm keen ... will have to run it by hubby and make sure he's not riding that day though!

Some of us are working etc today so a few of us on 250's and learners etc are looking at leaving the Kingsgate Hotel and heading out to Raglan for a wee coffee break (about 4-6 bikes so far). leaving at 1.30 if anyone interested and returning by 4ish to watch the warriors lose again at 4.00pm ( and the netball final if anyone is interested??)

The weather is gonna be mint for this Sunday. I'm hoping to get the wife out on this ride as well since she doesn't ride her stead much anymore. I'm thinking that it'll be perfect ride for it.

    mmm harsh browns mmmmm

Oh and for those people that have been thinking about doing a ride with people from a forum, and have been a bit apprehensive about it...I was in exactly in the same boat.

I was umming and ahhhing for ages about actually meeting up with a bunch of randoms to go on a ride. Especially when I had only been riding a very short amount of time.

My first ride was with this group was to Kawhia. I meet everyone in Pirongia and people approached me to chat and stuff. Turned out to be an eventful ride. A rider in a totally unrelated group came off and some of this group stopped to help.

I thought I was holding people up but like everyone told me afterwards, they were quite capable of passing if they wanted. That made me relax a hell of a lot more and really enjoyed myself.

Haven't looked back and are really good mates with some really cool people. Absolutely happy that I took the plunge and went on one of the rides. It helped my riding a hell of a lot.

So seriously, for those thinking about it but are undecided, give it a go this Sunday. If you don't know anyone and no one is coming up to talk to you, stand by a Triumph and others will come It's amazing how it works (just avoid standing next to Kwaka ZX10's )

Good call dude but people can come over to the green zx10r with a black tank - for me talking isn't a problem, shutting up is hehehe

(ps, green is good, blue is boring)
