WTD: Intercom/B2B Communicator and Opinions

I am in the market for a intercom unit so the pillion in a million can let me know when she needs a cup of tea. Does anyone have ideas on what is a good one to get? Maybe even have something that is able to do bike-to-bike as she is talking about getting a bike herself. Does someone have one for sale?

Done it for you (see my edited post).

The one I have is solely rider to pillion, and I bought it for the same reason you mentioned: to keep the co-driver happy. I did think about bike-to-bike, but thought it was unlikely I really needed it, and I actually prefer to not have any extra noise, music, etc., so when I'm alone, I prefer aloneness. However, if I want to, I can uplug the headset and plug it into a discman or MP3 player. The headphone cups do a reasonable job of filtering out wind noise, etc., so I can choose to wear earplugs as well and turn the noise up, or just wear the headset.

Dont buy an Intercom, she'll only tell you you're going too fast. Thats why half of us buy motorbikes and the other half buy single seater bikes....to evade nagging.

After some bad experiences with certain brands, we're only going to deal with Baehr at AMPS. They're not cheap, but they work well and are a quality product.

Or if you want to do it on the cheap like I did, get a set of these UHF radios and some throat mics and you'll be away laughing for a fraction of the cost.

I actually bought these for Army use as tactical radios for my squad (half the size and twice the performance of our current handhelds) but they work real well on bikes too and are rechargeable which is a real bonus.

EDIT: The link to the radios has changed to this. It looks like they are only $66 until April 3rd! Might have to get me another pair for some 4 way goodness!
