I'll take your Kawasaki "Let the good times roll" and raise you The Cars "Let the good times roll"

I fucking LOVED this album when I was 16. Plus it was considered "alternative" and "new wavey" where I lived at the time.

This, Talking Heads 77, a lot of Bowie, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and The Clash "London Calling" (released in December 1979 I'll have you know) were the soundtrack of my mid to late teens. And I still love all the shit I loved then: rock and roll, motorcycles, and boobies. also beer.

Oh, and The Cure "Seventeen Seconds" and The Eagles Hotel California (yep, loved a well-crafted pop song even then). and the Beatles. And my Mum loved Elvis. And

has anyone mentioned Star Wars yet? That and Jaws redefined (some might say ruined) popular cinema in the 1970's.

Now they were a cool car. My mate had one and he also had the same problem with tyres. I should know, i had to nick him a new set every few months. Nearly got caught once.

When the 70's began CHCH was a one club town, that began to change about 1973 by the end of 1974 CHCH had well & truly lost any remaining innocence... by the end ot the 70's CHCH was (at least) a 2 club town...some of you fuckers can use the word gang instead of club but then there always were various gangs around the town...bike clubs of course were much fewer...I guess you had to be there
