    '92 CB400/4 must go

I've bought a new bike so the old girl has to go. (Sniff)

Bog standard CB400/4 but with a Givi fairing on the front, a Ventura pack-rack on the back and heated handgrips in between.

    The good

    > engine is as strong as ever and returns 18.5kml.
    > doesn't leak any fluid from anywhere
    > workshop serviced throughout it's life with oil and filter changed every 6000km

    The not so good
    > there are a few nicks in the seat which were covered by duct tape as soon as they occured to prevent them getting bigger
    > Minor scratching on the left of the fairing from a fall in a carpark (hot day, seal melted)
    > rev counter sometimes needs a tap on the dial to bring it to life.

    Recent work done
    > New left fork to replace pitted old one
    > New fork seals and bushes
    > New front brake pads
    > Replaced fuel tap O ring and float bowl gasket.

    The future
    > warranted to December 13
    > rego'd to September 13
    > front tyre has about another 2500ks in it
    > back tyre has about another 7500ks in it
    > rear brake pad probably required next service (2000k from now)

    Ideal for
    > An ex-biker wanting to get back into biking without killing themselves
    > A person now on a full licence on a bike like a GN and wanting to move up without going all the way to a 600 just yet.
    > A person with a big road bike wanting a cheap run-around
    > A person with about $2900 spare

Will be listed on Trade Me in due course.

Check out my profile pic for a picture of the bike. (Apologies in advance )

Well I actually had a sheepskin on the seat at the time and later on that day the sheepskin got chewed up by the chain so there is no remaining evidence of that stunt. (Apart from the photo)

LOL lucky you took the sheep off of it first.

edit: ugh, just looked at the pic of it. On second thoughts, you should have left the sheep on it.

nicely worded ad tho! Pity you're so far away, son is looking at what might replace the ginny (although he's still meant to be on 250max on his R).

Actually the bike had been sitting in the sun so the sheepskin was all nice and warm. Mmmmmmmm! Cosy!

Yeah, my new bike is coming down from Woodville at a cost of $380. I suppose for the right bike it is worth it ... especially if the seller is a little flexible on price.
