Shall I call the cops and ask them to go over and say a witness saw them?
Well that would bring the total number of witnesses up to... um.. one. So yeah... I would.

Yes (but let 'em know they heard it, not saw it). That what the cops are for. It might take a while but they'll have a note on their files at the very least and when they do get around to it the recorded series of incidents and data associated with it will be reasonably complete

Start with the police, they might have come a cropper somewhere else on the same night with a bit of luck, hopefully bad enough to warrant the police turning up. You probably know what colour car hit it, as it'll have transfered paint.

definetely sounds a little suss, best of luck with nabbing the pricks. And it sounds like you may have some dishonest neighbours, best insure those bikes are locked up tight.

ok so I stalked another police station and apparently there may be a witness......she ran a check on suspicious behaviour and there was a report but she wont tell me exactly what.

said to go make a statement to the coppers and said....... tell them why you think it was the neighbour

    not over yet!

Hard for me to think it was the neighbour. Shivers if it was me I'd NEVER say I'd heard anything. I'd just keep a low profile.
But good luck with it the Howick cops will get lucky hopefully!!!!

Looking at your pics the tracks in the mud suggest that some one uses that place to turn on a regular basis, then you park there one night!

Shift your car and watch for habits to resume. PS: You didn't hear anything??????

Either that or could also be a one off, someone half parking on the grass half on the road.

Remain neutral and open though you can't assume or accuse anybody till you get the facts, in case it wasn't the neighbours but some random drunk.

ok so it was my first night in this house and was dark so I didnt see anything unusual bout parking there BUT

    I HAVE THE BASTARD!!!!!!!!!

Just went to make a formal statement and the housewatch guy at the police station confirmed there was a witness who took the rego number. Def my car...white skyline on Gossamer drive was hit.

BUT... they wont tell me anything till they investigate because its criminal now due to him not reporting.

After 2 weeks I can request the file and get the rego name and the witness report

THEN maybe Ill either get his insurance to pay or if hes uninsured mine will pay some

THANK fuck for the person who reported!!!!!

Whoa! what a piece of luck.
Beauty of being on a busy street.
We live in a dead end street. Of probably 100 car break-ins we have yet to have anyone see anything!
