Hey are any of you F2 guys using slicks ? Are ya allowed to use slicks or do they have to be treaded tires ? Sinfull reckons ya can run slicks and a few others ive spoken too ......... Your thoughts ??

You are allowed to use whatever you like in Club racing. Its when your racing the nationals (production bike classes) that you must run DOT approved tyres.

Places like the Winter series, Street series etc you can use either.
Most 600 riders will use the treaded tyres as that is the tyre they will use in the nationals. There wouldnt be any point testing/setting your bike up on slicks when your not allowed to use them in some classes.
The treaded tyres grip like shit to a blanket anyway.

Yeah man. Slicks are all good at Actrix Winter Series. No groin kicks or eye gouging though. We have some standards. Check our supplemantary regs as we run modified F2 specs.

This is an utter thread hijack, but even I'm thinking of giving the Manfield round a go Dallas. It should be cheaper this year and I am lobbying for a special race-vegetable sub-class in Supersport. Join us, the more the merrier.
