    As far as I hear, fitting second had soft-tops can be a bit of a bitch, as they are not necessarily straight/stretched to a slightly different pattern. There are peoplle who can fit the soft tops for you, but make sure you get a decent top to fit on. I reckon it would be worth paying the extra $$ to get it right first time, and not have to take the top off again to remove creases/sagging portions etc.

    Check the drains under the sills, make sure they're clear too.. There's also a rain rail at the base of the roof at the rear, but if that was leaking it would piss water into the car.
    I had the sloshing sound in my MX5,it was water in the sills ,find the drains,they are slight widenings in the lower seams of the sills and clear them with the special tool called a thin pokey thing.
