Turned up to a nice sunny day set up pit as per normal and got my warmers on
Qualifying:
Went outon track and sighted it out to see were the wet spots were, Higgens was really wet especially on the exit
Started working my way into it and was leading the qualifying session for about 3 laps before the likes of Deano and Geoff came rocketing past. on about the 4th lap exiting Higgens I rolled on the gas and next thing I know the back spun right around on me and sent me onto the tank. Luckily I held on and finished the session in 23rd place so my grid positions are improving each round still not as far up as I was hoping but not bad.
Race 1:
Got a pretty decent start but 2 bikes in front of me dint get off the line as fast as I was hoping and I had to back off not to shunt them then when I rolled back on it cracked a wheelstand off into turn 1 and got a pretty decent start and was up to about 12th place and started trying my hardest to keep up with the group in front.
Next thing I know the Red Flag was out
Restart and 4 laps got a slower start and managed to run in 15th place chasing a group in front who I was just catching and on the exit of higgens once again the back end came right around this time I know im right up in the air above me SV thinking this is going to hurt and came slamming back down on the bike and see a Kawasaki pass me I just get her straight and off I go luck had it I stayed on!!!!
I managed to work on trying to calm my heart down and finished 17th so I improved from my grid position and went 4 seconds faster than qualifying.
Race 2:
Got a pretty good launch and ended up in a battle with Frenchy on the 400, then Frenchy lost me and I just worked on lines and corner speed and next thign I know I had caught him again and we had a great dice the whole race what was left of it he would get me around the corners and I would be able to just slip stream past down the straights on the last lap he had a bit of a lead over me so I pushed a bit harder and broke alot later into higgens and started a run down the back straight I wasnt close enough but manged to catch right onto him near the exit but he got off the corner better than me and pulled a bit of a lead but I drafted him to the line and pulled out and passed but he just had me best race all season I had so much fun.
Did my first ever SV wheelstand to so was pretty stoked.
