think I'll be on the sidelines for this one, unless someone wants to lend me a old bike

Right - all service, oils n filters changed, sparkplugs glared at, tappets reset to rattle and timing checked.

I've got a pile of Triumph munt really so I've 'rockerised' the C as much as I can. I was going to put flat bars on but the TR6 C clamps are solid mounted behind the steering damper (normal is rubber mounted forward of that) and the bar clouts the tank (drat) so I put some lower narrower ones on and then chucked on the orange / white tank I resprayed last year with me $100 compressor. (note - needs more orange area and less white)

For the rivet counters.... Its a 68 Tiger tank (that model only not the same as UK tank) 3.5 gal US spec with the parcel grid and while they aint worth as much as the slimline (2.5 gal) it normally wears the extra gallon makes it a fab touring tank and the width cuts down engine noise...

As long as I've fixed all the leaks (in the tank) this time - we are ready to rock n roll...

    2 more sleeps...

It's going to be a good thing and the pubs have laid on extra staff and filled the beer kegs in anticipation of a bar filled with thirsty bikers and they've even got in extra shandy for the mods.

Oh Oh Oh I am so looking forward to this!!!
couldn't get my bike up and running in the end but more than happy to be a "helper" and watch the proceedings
I'll just hide the XJ out of view when required.........

The Honda is not far off now any way. So I'll be able to ride her once Wednesday night rides start.

Travel safe all those making their way down/up to Christchurch for this event.
    C you there!!
