    Ducati Monster seat (98 M900S)

Hi team, looking for recommendations on who to approach to buy a replacement seat or to have my seat rebuilt? I would prefer new. I have looked at Corbin but VPW in Oz manage to turn a $299 USD transaction into the better part of a grand very quickly. Sargent don't appear to ship down here - correct me if I am wrong.

I would like to ride my Monster on longer trips without my butt wearing out at the same rate as the fuel tank eg 247km.

    Help?
If you think you can, or you can't, you're right...

theres a guy who advertises here and in bikerider and kiwirider mags who can remake your current seat.

alternatively ebay is your friend. its not so expensive on freight really, and you can get great deals. I got a second hand corbin for my sporty recently and it turned out to be a very good deal.

They have an Australasian agent - in Oz. I had a discussion with them but adding a middle man put the deal over the threshold for GST and made it uneconomic.

Also my experiences suggest "Australasian agent" is an oxymoron.

Ring Mac at Rider seats in Tauranga, a custom seat costs (used to cost?) $500. He does lots of them and knows what he's doing.

You might be able to get one cheaper somewhere else, in which case good luck....
