Two semmesters in a row I'm the only male in my sign-langauge class, and I've yet to see another male at any of the community college classes.

It so nice to see someone who's so perpetually optimistic.

The important thing is to avoid the temptation to allow a note of desperation to creep in...

best of luck mate but I wonder if the bike forum is the right place... there are some NZ dating hookup sites and wotnot IIRC. Seems like most of the girls here aren't available

Didn't you say you're a student? Am I getting my wires crossed? Heaps of decent chicks in the arts faculty etc at Auck Uni IIRC. Presumably most other institutions have a good sprinkling as well.

in any case, make sure you

    - present with a confident and engaging manner
    - have a decent haircut
    - smell good
    - wear nice clothes
    - stay in reasonable shape and
    - don't talk about freaking bikes all the time! or yourself for that matter...

and you should be able to pull the girls without too much trouble, you might even find one that likes bikes

Its hard enough to find a nice single gurl who you can get along with let alone one who rides. I think its better to keep your options open and increase the chances for yourself. Even if she doesn't ride, there are a million other entertaining things you can do together.

    Goodluck buddy.

Edited after reading Jrandom's post: Nicely put dude. Once you leave school/tek/uni, you will only find your self in a harder position to find chix. No matter, you will just have to work on your pickup lines etc and practice just about everywhere you can think of.

Absolutely. Nothing like the smell of desperation to send a girl running!

Why not attend as many rallies, race meets and other bike related events as possible? Doesn't the KiwiRider magazine have a calendar of events in it?

I am seeing gurl right now who is your age mitch. So like I said before, age isn't that big of a barier if you don't want it to be.

*feels good to say that* after being single for a while now.

Shame you aren't available down this end of the country as there don't seem to be too many Wellington area women posting on the site. As for higher age bracket yeah right. My wife is happy though, she thinks she will always be younger than me - maybe she's right.

Lynda Blair seems quite happy hanging with all us old guys and I must make sure I make the run this weekend.

Now that Wkid has retired is it going to be a whole lot safer riding over the 'tukas from now on?
    Cheers

What end of town are you likely to end up working in? We generally have Friday lunches with Lynda on Waring Taylor St.

Most of January I'm holidaying up North with the family (in the 4x4 - no bikes in tow) all geared around being in Auckland around the 16th because the kids say its life and death that they have to go see Metallica at The BIg Day Out.
    Cheers
