Good luck - and don't forget the WIMA rallies - that's where I picked up my husband six years ago! He and his mates used to go along in the vain hope of picking up chicks - and for years it worked! The year I met him, three other guys in his club hooked up with WIMA women/girls but he's the only one to keep his.

WIMA has women of all ages - when I was a member in Wellington there were teenagers right through to grandmothers - take your pick!

I tried doing car maintenance, etc. in the hope of finding men when I was single, but most classes were filled with women who had the same idea! You could try cooking classes - even if you don't find anyone there, you will pick up some useful skills for when you do find a partner!

It is a good idea to try and find a woman who is into bikes too, because then if it turns serious she won't make you sell your bike to buy the engagement ring. My other half was always getting people asking if I was going to make him sell his bikes once we were married - as if! I even bought a new bike on our honeymoon!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

I being single. Maybe it's only because it's recent...but man...I get to do what I want, when I want it. I never have to think about 'checking in' about who's cooking dinner, what time we'll be home etc. It's GREAT! It means at 5:30, when someone sends a text saying "got work drinks, come and gate crash", I can go without hesitation (after taking Gem home first of course).

    Yay for singleness.

Oh - and this was one 'resurrected' thread Sarge!!!!

By the way...I'm anticipating meeting a man with enough moolah that he can afford a bike AND an engagement ring Beemer!!! Hope truly does spring eternal (especially since I pull in a decentish (given I work for crown) salary myself...it's a hard road finding someone who can cope with me!)!

Looks like we need to get Aunty Riff Raff to start up her "introduction service" again.
There seems to be quite a few single like minded people on this site that need a helping hand to get together!
