I'm with you AlpinePossum. That other thread is bizzare. To add to it..... This member (CS) contacted me via PM almost immediately after buying the DR offering to sell it on. I have the PM's clearly showing the conversation along the lines of:
Me - how much? CS - $6.5k?
Me - but you paid $5.5k? CS - No I paid $5.0k
Me - why selling and are you wanting to make money on it?
CS - I made a mistake and you can have it for $4.5k
Me - Ok I will get the money to you today - need a bank account.
CS - (over telephone) wife has checked the bank account - it has sold. It did not stack up but I left it at that.

Then the question was asked in this thread - how much did you pay for it? There was no response so I posted that he paid $5k, as he had advised me in a PM. CS red rep'd me saying "Wrong".

Sorry CS but I too find this all a bit strange. Feel free to abuse this post as well or put up more red rep.

More red rep from CS "I will thanks...NOW FCK OFF!!!". This is in addition to an abusive post that has since been removed (not at my request).

Yeah, I did read that thread you pointed to and it's just the normal banter and tongue in cheek stuff that gets tossed around on most threads.

The question has to be asked though... whose business is it what someone paid for a bike when they are selling it?

There asking price is what they expect/hope/want to get for it and what they do get for it, is what someone else is willing to pay. If that someone else is not willing to pay what they expect/ hope/want for it and they aren't in a hurry to sell, they simply won't sell.

I'm sure I've got all that right?

Now let me clear something up.....

This bike is ForSale and the price is $5950 take it or leave it..

One of the biggest problems for poeple is when there is a bike for a good price they still want a discount and then they miss out....

The Er is my Ex girlfriends bike....And when she wanted to sell it and we advertised it....We had a good price on it....But people jumped into the thread and started talking crap about it...Offering $1 down chase me around and stuff....

So like an idiot i went along with the crap talking and sooo it began...

I have brought bikes from Dmntd/Gixxer and the Quicks and been very happy with all buys..

I have also sold bikes and gear to Kbs also....Timmay and a few others...

I ask you now....LOOK AT THE TRADEME FEEDBACK...CONTACT THE BUYERS AND SELLERS ON KB THAT WILL VOUCH FOR ME...

Bike has now done 10,000kms and there will be a price reduction.....

Or Buy it after the ColdKiwi 7th of September 2009 with 12,000km on the clock and will be slightly damaged......for $5k ish ! ! !
