But even if we had a video ref it would not always be possible to tell who caused an incident, and where do you draw the line ? If I crash and take someone out because of oil on the track is it my fault or the person that dropped the oil ? How much time would be spent arguing over who was at fault ?
I like the "no fault" rule after all no one crashes on purpose.
The only thing I can think of to improve the current rule would be that anyone that is taken off in an ambulance should not be allowed back on the track for the rest of the meeting so that riders are not tempted to "play possum" to deliberately get a race red flagged as has been suggested on this forum.
