    Fs- cbr600 1987

Hey guys, i really dont want to sell the old girl but i just must. Due to student finances.
Not that its expensive to run- 10bux gets me to tauranga from aux
Nor is it expensive to maintain- self done services every 5000k's cost me $70
Its not slow either, factory quoted at 85hp and still feels every bit of that, 6 speed g'box, adjustable suspension. Its quite fast...

    Some specs:
Max Power 85.00 HP (62.0 kW) at 11000 RPM
    Power/Weight Ratio 0.42 Hp/Kg
    Top Speed 222 km/h (138mph)
    Acceleration (dart, speedup) time
    0-100 km/h 4.1 seconds
    0-60 mph 3.9 seconds

Everything is functional, tyres are good, doesnt use any oil nor water and is really smooth. Engine feels in fantastic shape.

Too bad its ugly. fairings are rubbish. new ones cost 700$

First of the cbr600's, goes well and is damm reliable. wanting 2500 ONO will get a new wof sweet as, currently wof'd and regd. Could be a good commuter bike (thats whats its used for now), first 'big bike' or track bike.

It does 0-60mph faster than 0-100kmph? Now that's tricky!

That's cos 100km/h is 62mph - it takes a loooooooong time to get that last 2mph..

I had an '89 CBR600 years ago, great bike.
First gear would see you over 100kmph and it used to top out at an indicated 245.
Never had any problems and it had done over 100,000k's

I've got 2 grand cash. If the bike's as good as you say it is then I'll buy it. Condition being that you bring it down to sunny Te Aroha (<2 hrs). No offence, but I've wasted too many afternoons viewing "tidy bikes" that've turned out to be shitters. I'll obviously give you a lift home afterwards.
