Raetihi "Clowns Pies" no longer in operation

Clowns Cafe, a favoured stop for many bikers, and Raetihi's main tourist attraction has closed. Sorry if this is a repost but I'm on dialup and 'search' is next to impossible.

Small consolation, he is reopening on Victoria Avenue in Wanganui at the end of July.

warm and friendly , have stopped there often ..



still a run over the para's to get a pie in wanganui is a great option ..

Bugger,same with the cafe in the middle of Paraparas which closed a few years ago,nice American lady and always cheerful,and good coffee,neat spot, isolated but part of NZ backcountry.

they are reopening across from my second job. theyve got a sushi place right next door.

Well I've been thinking that now I might be able to lose weight. BUT, heard today that Mrs Clown is going to re-open. So with Raetihi pies at both ends of the Parapara, it's a good job they are widening the road.
