Cleaning R6 radiator to eliminate mud?

Hello

Unfortunitly last Sundays ride meant my radiator got chocker block full of fine silty mud (On the outside of the radiator)

Has anyone had experience with cleaning it out ? And what did you use ?

I tried looked for a thread on this and all I found was removing cemment..

How does one clean it out ?, I thought of using Muc Off, soaking it in that, then gentaly running the hose through it.

Think that will do the trick ?

are you brave enough to completely remove it? if so you could take it right off, plug the holes up and soak it in the tub to loosen all the dirt up then gently run the hose over it being careful not to bend fins

you could use a soft bristled brush to loosen up the drit whole its soaking too

I would be really weird and steam it off.

Set up a container of water and some sort of heating element, probably out of a kitchen kettle. Perhaps even duct the steam around it or just put tarp around the lot.

Would take ages and probably not work.

If you dont pay for water, perhaps get a garden sprinkler and set it up underneath for a while..

fuckin gud luck tryin to take the dam thing off, unless u got tiny little hands
easier to piss in the wind, I did it once a shit of a job..

maybe u sud consider a radiator guard, had on on each of my R6's (3) cheap easy to mount (that maybe the wrong word) and easy to remove and claen.
you can even buy them in matching colour to your bike. I think I pais US$ 40.00 for mine plus postage... or if ur a brokin arse with no money u can make them up easy..
