You do realise that the investigations brach doesn't go out giving tickets dont you? And they probably get around 3 investigation files per hour which take a good 2-3+ hours to investigate each, for the easy ones.
Also the Police are financed through govt tenders. One of which is road policing. If the Police stopped enforcing road rules the govt would give the money to another company who would. A lot of that money goes to non road policing resources so they would be even more under financed in general duties.
Also how do you think criminals get around? Do you think they pay for rego or wof? Do you think they drive slowly? A large % are arrested from cars stopped for speeding and simple compiance issues.
If you want them to investigate more cases how about you stop complaining on these forums and write into the govt and ask them to give more money to the Police so they can afford to investigate more.
