    Have you seen Sarge?

I think he'd scare off any 6ft 6 "Gangsta" who thinks he's tough.....

    You are actually right.

'Crip' originates from the carrying of a cane or stick. Word spread about the tough-looking young men, who some said carried canes and walked with a limp — cripples, or crips, they were called for short.

"He walked with a pronounced limp; l-i-m-p, pronounced; 'limp'...."

I think they should be called for service abroad.

I have no doubt in my mind that you would confront them, i would feel safer with you in manurewa then walking with any other kber for obvious reasons. My point is that many talk down of the gangs, but dont actually face them, at the end of the day i dont want any kber to be in danger or put in harm of confronting them.

Hahaha ask any cop what happens when you put them in the car and take them to the cells, they are all tough in front of there mates but when they are alone in police custody they just cry.

They aren't tough cowards more like it who pick on the one guy walking alone at night. I have seen them do that plenty of times. When they tried to rob me when i had finished a late shift at work, just got some cash out i told em there was no way in hell they were gonna steal my money, they wouldn't even fight me i was wearing all my gear at the time. All they do is intimidate people but they have no balls at all.

Few years back when i worked grave yard shift at a servo they used to come give me shit didn't take it all they did was walk away swearing at me or back down.

Youth gangs are all the same. Bunch of try hard kids.

Black power or the real gangs on the other hand never had always polite good cunts never had a problem with them.

3 MM came into the servo I was working at when I was 18 (young and impetuous). 1 came into the shop and was obviously waiting for the rest of the customers to leave, so I knew something was up. Said fuckwit approached the counter and said give me a packet of cigarettes and I won't stab you. Now I knew there was a pretty hefty tyre lever under the counter should things go really bad, and in reality I probably should have complied with his request. But at the back of my mind I thought fuck it, he is more than likely trying to intimidate me, for a packet of durries FFS.

So I said, show me the knife and I will empty the whole cash register and the entire cigarette rack. This upped the ante obviously.

He repeated his threat and I repeated my request.

He then looked perplexed and left the shop.

Score 1 to the skinny white boy.

Another time more recently, I received a noise complaint about MM gang house in Petone - drove down with a colleague to see that speakers in windows blaring onto the street. Several prospects and patched members drinking on footpath, throwing cans into the gutter and intimidating passers by.

We called Police for backup who sent the special tactics group. Real hardcore cops. One of the prospects made a few threats while I was writing out a notice, claiming he would knock us over. The cop asked if he would like him to get the boxing gloves from the station.......I was all keen.

One on one in a fair fight with a prospect.....nice.

Needless to say he shut his mouth after that. What a hero.

hmmm i still think they are dangerous in a group or by themselves, i know they can attack innocent people but the majority are savages.

Had a invite to meet my stepsister who i hadn't ever met or known. She was in rewa, stayed there for a few days and she kept on making sure i wouldn't wander out onto the streets or talk to any strangers. Met a person my age and he always told me about what had happened to him in his life. And it really got to me that it is a real ghetto. He was thrown on the floor as a baby, mother was psycho threw pots and pans at him, survived in hospital. Stabbed by a rival , three times in the stomach (he has mean scars from that). His dad shot at him with a rifle chasing him down the street when he took his beer at a party, mauled by a gang called JDK (bloods) battered with baseball bats. Knocked up a christian girl becoming a father at only 14 years old, arrested for car theft and all sorts of crimes. I remember walking with him through a park where everything was pitch black, he had a blue bandanna on, about 4 guys come out of bushes threatening to kill me and Steven, he wanted to fight all of them, i was scared shitless and wanted to get out. Things were so close, the fact that he was willing to take on 4 guys with weapons on them in pitch dark shows he is a pretty tough. I told him how i have never heard of anyone who had gone through that, but he said that's how it is, many Maori youth in South Auckland have it the same. If that's not tough then i dont know what is!

If he was really tough he might try and break the mould. Now that would be the hard road would it not ?

Sure there are undoubtedly some tough mofo's but generally they rely on intimidation. How did you escape the park ? Let me guess - the other 4 didn't want to take on a mad mofo ?

What do you mean by 'breaking the mould"

I know at first when you may see them you may think "what a lowlife scum, shoot the bastard" but then when you get to know them, hear their stories. You realise how bad they have it, not that what they are doing is right but it really makes you think -what if i was brought up in his shoes, would i be the man i am today? really think about that aye, the odds of you becoming Deano and having morals you have now are slim in that sense huh.

A few adults ran in and stopped it from going on, they seem to of known most of the youths because its common for street gangs to hang out in parks. Having a sesh, dealing, meeting up, fights etc.

Oh yeah tough guys out there you dont have to be in a gang to prove that. Gangs are mearly a way for them to feel part of something more than what they know.
I know guys that got beat up as kid properly knocked around and they are living very normal lives you could never tell what happend to them.
