Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.

The alchemist is a "fable about following your dream"!
A pilgrimage on how life should just be. It is "New Agey"

The book is full of symbolism and metaphors, but it has the most beautiful passages in it.

It's kind of ( but not really) like the celestine prophecy, in the journey it takes you (but that's about it in comparison)

It is an adventure story but it is also a pilgrimage, the way the author places words together is mind blowing.

    It has really touched me:

"Everyone on earth has treasure that awaits him," his heart said.

"We, people's hearts, seldom say much about those treasures, because people no longer want to go in search of them.

We speak of them only to children.
Later we simply let life proceed, in its own direction, toward its own fate. But, unfortunately, very few follow the path laid out for them - the path to their destinies, and to happiness.

Most people see the world as a threatening place, and, because they do, the world turns out, indeed, to be a threatening place.
So we, their hearts, speak more and more softly.
We never stop speaking out . . "

An example of beautifuly laid out passages.
Tis hard to describe, very deep, and very beautiful!!!

Oh, Dan Brown, I have the inaugural Davinci Code, which started my interest in Leonardo Davinci.
Liked the Theory behind Angels and Demons, but the story bored me LOL
What's the latest novel coming out?
