    Who wants to help?

    So...

My hyoshit fucken carcked it at the end of my road, I was idling at a give way and all of a sudden it sounds like a chain is spinning round a shaft while theres a grinding noise as well and both noises are having a battle to see who can be loudest....

So yea fuck this shit I'm seriously about to write to hyosung and see whats up, first my chain then my brakes (twice) and now this unknown phantom of engine dooooom,

If someone is willing to help me then it'll have to be from the 3rd of august onwards after 6 on weekdays and anytime on the weekends....

yea yea I know, hyosung crap, but seriously, if you want to help let me know.

UPDATE: So the damage.... Cam chain tensioner went.... need: new Cam chain tensioners for both cylinders and gaskets, 2 inlet valves and 2 exhaust valves and a new head gasket.... all up about 540 for parts and 450 for labour.... yay.....

Hate to say it, but mine made a similar noise.

.I blew the rear Piston to bits taking the conrod and crankshaft with it. Was due to a cracked inlet manifold letting in air, and running lean. Only a few days out of Warranty, and Hyosung told me to get fucked.

Don't panic Bro. Don't read all the horror stories either. Just take it step by step with your local agent and see how you go.

First step is to talk to them and let them know theres a problem, so get on the phone first thing tomorrow and borrow their trailer and take it in for them to cast their eye over.

Consumer Guarentees Act plus Disputes Tribunal would be worth investigating here. Warrenty is not relevant to the CGA. Make sure everything is in writing and fully documented, and the dealer has the opportunity to fix it first before going nuclear.
Success may depend if you are the original owner or not.

Speak to them rationally, bloody hard though if they give the same crap about being out of warranty, but it still shouldn't shit itself with those km on it,who knows the bike shop might help with input to the distributer.Consumers Guarantee Act could be your friend, goods fit for what they were intended for, hardly say 2 yrs and 20000km old is over the top distance travelled.I know a couple bought a bed which was 3 yrs old,no specific warranty on them, but manufacturer replaced after store owner gave a replacement to customer first, the owner of business was happy to fix it first and worry about manufacturer last, keeping customer happy was first option.

This may be a dumb question - but is the Hyosung warranty not transferable if you have proof of origional purchase?

Yeah if you're the original owner you've got a good chance with the cga 2 years ain't reasonable. Don't know about if it's second hand

Well i’m the 2nd owner, but I’ve had it since 6300km's..... So yea, I’m more gutted than fucked off,

There’s 2 options... new motor for $500 or if my flatmates right, it could just be 1 cylinder not firing, he had the same noise when it was only firing on 2/3 out of four cylinders on his 97 bandit 250
