Honda VFR400 NC21 solenoid and petrol tank

Just bought a NC21 off trademe, $300 (LOL) bike goes well (in garage) but petrol tank is rusted REAL BAD (i just squirted some juice down the carbs). Also the solenoid is melted internally. Also am after some cosmetic farings ....
It's a piece of shit, but it's mine. And I want to ride it.
any parts considered.
