    rides today (sun 3rd)

Well after no-one wanted to go riding down to hamilton with me i thought it would be a nice quiet ride down. Low and behold using up more of his non-existant sick days FF gives me a call at 7:15am this morning. "you still doing the 22... how about now" . So get my shit together and jet out to autobahn papakura to meet FF and KK. Start a nice lesurly(sp) cruise down the 22 "(soon get left behind.... but not to behind) and have some awsome roads with awsome weather. KK turned back half way and me and FF continued on. I continued to hamilton to meet up with AD at the fair to see if we could find pieces for his bike. After not having too much luck we go back to his and are joined by crashe. And to make matters worse after some dissassembling we discover that the virago is a lot more damaged than we thought. Oh well at least we know what needs doing.

With nothing better to do me and crashe headed back up highway 22. I was starting to open her up a bit with the awsome weather and stuff and was havin some fun. And then ello ello ello what have we here. Who do i see but FF and some others half way along the 22. So joined up with them turned up the pace a little bit more and had a blast.

Cheers to all i meet/rode with today i had heaps of fun.

p.s. crashe i kinda got left behind when i slowed down on the motorway cause that cop strated following me/ overtook me (doing a bit more than 110 i dare say )
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

    Cool

    Aff-man,

    What cop..... I never saw a cop....lol
I did wonder what happened to you... so I slowed down for a bit... but then figured that you must have turned off somewhere...

Yep I had a neat day... I had a cruisey ride down on SH1 to Hamilton...
except for almost being taken out on the southern motorway by a van..
Found AD's place in Hamilton... and ya know the rest... well I supplied the screw driver and pliers...

AD is gonna pull some bits off his old crunched up Rebel... to hopefully fit onto the virago.. plus buys bits... but it is repairable.

Now 22 needs to have a clean up.... it wasnt nice to have to ride into rubbish all over the road... the blardy car drivers throwing their rubbish out the windows... bottles and food stuff.

Unfortunately TS it was a once in a lifetime type situation! FF pulling the day sick and all whilst i was about and asking me i felt it was my duty... I also had to ask 6chris6's Permission as i was on his bike.

First time on 22 and i will say it is a great road although there are spots to be careful of, The old 6R has worse brakes then ever now and twice i did (sorry chris!) kinda almost not brake enough for 2 35 posted corners, as the brake lever comes right into the bar for every damn corner i must have mis-judged the braking distance or the brakes got worse, and sheeesh! was rather close but low and behold having good tyres and a touch of faith slammed it into the corner to come out alive and well.

Was a good ride, thanks for the hosptitality FF and thanks for the company Aff-Man, it was good to see you again dude! and a nice ride (My apologies on the overtake dude, but i realised i was being rather inconsiderate being so close to your tail(racing does that to ya i swear, its real bad, creates tailgaters) so thought i was better off just jammin out on my lonesome for some.)

Damn!! FF and KK on 22 and I missed it!!
Crashe, I had good intentions - after I met up with you at the Autobahn I cruised down SH1 and stopped for coffee at the River Haven in Huntly, then via Gordonton to Hamilton, arrived at Claudelands too late (saw some awesome restored vintage British bikes) but you must have gone by then. So cruised back to Akl by myself...
But otherwise it was a great day... apart from the numerous HP... Got stopped on the Gordonton road for a WOF/rego check - very polite officer asked if I had a bike licence! I told him I had one before he was born...

Sound slike you had fun. I was also down that way today with Cary but instead of going down 22 we headed down the backroads through Te Akau. Sat on the verandah of the pub in Raglan watching the eye candy and then headed back up 22. Was a great ride down those gravel roads on the XT's

It was definitely a good day for 22, and good to catch up with F/F, Aff-Man,Crashe, Quasi along the way. Dave am ringing AMPS today to price a Micron after hearing your bike coming about a minute before you came past at Naike before pot-hole 73.

Yeah great to have you stay Logan, not much rum left in the bottle, so we did good..anyway the ride, what can I say 22 at its best. broke my record. Ended up doing it about 3 times plus a quickie (no not that sort) to Raglin devi and back to Meet Paco, Midlife and another Gary on 22 at Naike, Paco had his geek vid camera thingy on his bike, so a good chance to get some fun footage.. Great to see so many bikes on the road tried to wave to as many as I could Motu(honest), missed a few, my bad.
Rider of the day, .... Affman..
Bike of the day........The new R1, nice one Ray !

But high light of the day for me, was some great news from Taupo, but I''ll let that person tell his own story.. nice one man...

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.
