    FXR sprocket ratios?

Hi can any body please give me some advice on sprocket ratio's for my FXR for Mt Wellington track. I'm running a FZR250 rear wheel with a 56 tooth sprocket and a std one on the drive side. Thanks John

Somewhere around 3.8-3.9 ratio seems normal, I am running 13-49, though a few guys have 12-49 or 12-47.
You will find with the 14T front and 56 rear it's pretty close.
Depends on how you ride too, are you having problems somewhere?

You could try a 13T front, you might find you just end up 1 gear higher.
Running reverse direction this last meet my bike would just touch the limiter in 4th before braking.

    problem

Hi Unstable. No problem once up and running using 3and 4th gear mostly but of the start grid had my ass kicked!! too low gearing. I could try starting in second? that might do the trick. New to Buckets so it's a huge learning curve and I thought I'd ask you for advice as My sprockets might be way out. Thanks John

Yeah, the starts can be a bit tricky. I start in 1st, though I have tried 2nd, it was O.K. but you just need to be more savage. 1st the trick is to not give it too much as they do wheelie quite easily.
