    http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/top-sto...fter-glitches/

    Oh dear, how sad....

I guess the downside will be an aggressive campaign over summer to retrieve lost revenue. Oops, sorry my bad I meant increase our safety....

We seem to be having a lot of screw ups with our new roading technology recently. Firs there was the new electronic ticketing system for the new highway north of Auckland.

    And now this.

If you see a speed camera van are you are completely sure it is a speed camera van and not some private persons van then throw a bottle or rocks at it, after all they have the money to pay for the damage.

I have to say; I've often wondered why it is kiwis aren't more pro-active when it comes to speed cameras. How come no wild-at-heart yobbos don't bomb the vans or set fire to them etc?

There have been some instances over the years
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

I do recall some guy (North Shore?? I think) who tried to tow a fixed camera away with his 4WD, but it snapped him in the act. Dumb arse. Where/when were others? Can you recall?

Na can't recall specifics but remember there was an incident on the shore years ago, might be the same one. The one on Lake road used to get hit reasonably regular, spray paint over the lens etc

Take heart then, you can retire early, pat yourself on the back and get on with the important stuff; like sewing tassles onto your scrotum.

spray the camera lense with paint and they'l get hundreds of photos of nothing. shoot it with a shotgun, if being identified is an issue shoot it 200 yards away with your .223 (stationary cameras) vans? hmm. not sure. year 11 metal work i made some impressive road spikes
