    Average Track Speed

Just reading threads about the racing at Taupo I read 43 sec is a good lap time.

The track at Taupo is 0.869 miles around.

Since I was to lazy to do all the conversions I did a quick search on Google and located this page.

    http://www.gazza.co.nz/averagespeed.html

So if you get around the track in 43 seconds your averaging 117kph.
If it takes you 1 min your averaging 84 kph.

Just thought I put this up if anyone else is interested.

Hmmmm I've done a 39.2 which works out at 128kmh might not have been on a bike though

If the hairpin at taupo was a corner on the road what speed would it be signposted at? 25kph

What about the sweeper onto the front straight? 65kph

Never seen the track so just wondering.

    Man....

Yous fellah are gonna be like "man, that fella is sooo fast peow peow".
I can easily keep up at least 150km/h, so whats that, like 30 seconds. I didn't do the math, since it's Mundaneday but you get the picture.
