also try the bearings in the wheels
change them (they probably have never been looked at in all the bikes life)
check the chain get the right gearing for your bike
flip the gearleaver around if you can (race shift)
you probably wont have time for all this so just paint the bike and fit that new seat
also you have to find and change the tires (so there for the tire pressure needs checking)
see you there next time
also CHECK the swing arm isn't in 5 bits![]()

At the last meeting in F4 did you notice that 70's GP125 2-stroke and those old CB125T's in front of the majority of the FXR's.
The problem with puny 18hp FXR's is that when you hot them up they shit themselves and put a leg out of bed.
Us hot 2-smokersare looking forward to racing the FXR lot at Taupo.
.
Make some spare foot rests. The originals are crap
Stiffen the front forks they are too soft
Braided line for the front brake.
Seal the rims and fit tubeless tyres. Nice set of Dungflops or Bridgestone supersofts.
Two lumps of sugar per tank of gas and she'll run real sweet.
What does the sugar do?
"...you meet the weirdest people riding a Guzzi !!..."
Haha funni! Makes em run sweet. How about a can of Campbells V8 juice to give it the power of a V8 (thank you Honest Muz).
Theoretically lumps of sugar would count an an additive. Illegal if you were silly enough to try it.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Bring it on last year the fast 2 smokers went bang and my standard FXR ate most of the street stock 150 's they are 2 stroke i think LOL !
I'm still building a 2 stroke this deisel FXR is a bit of a lard arse it would be great to shed 30 + kg and have that nice smell of a real race bike .
Head bearings are a good one to grease foot peg brackets break so easy and the standard carb is a dog bin it . The wheel base are to long its worth making it shorter 30mm is about right and change the oil 2-3 meetings .
THERES HEAPS you could do if you wanted to.
1)solid rearset mounts and pegs.
2) dummy tank then a 5.0l real tank under it -or maybee a 2.0l if thats all you use in a long mt welly race
3)use studs and R clips to retain back of tank for quicker removal.
4) lighter exhaust system.
5)stiffen front end,get it working better
6) remove any electrical switches not needed to run the bike --including the ignition switch.
7) trim the wiring loom back again so only the wiring to run the bike is there. then figure out how to make that wiring crash proof.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
But most kart tracks require folding pegs, sensible or not.

ever since the 2 hour in 08 mine has had litle ignition folts left hand corners cut out and in plus it just dosent spark from time to time .just about through out the race cdi the other day only removed it because i thought that was the problem new cap now after 0709 race meets not starting shit
RIDE FOR THE CONDITIONS WHEN THEY CHANGE INCREASE YOUR SPEED
heheheeeee... not really man, My hot stroker (melted a piston) My CBT (droped a valve into the sump) My FXR (broke a rod) which was a failer of the after market piston... they dont just blow up. All bucket engies have the same potentual to explode, IMHO the FIXER is one of the less likely.
DELLORTO... just ride the farking thing
cheers DD
