    Shiver hugger

My Shiver got another modification fitted today.

Illustrated is a rear fibreglass hugger, supplied by twinshack.co.uk.

The exceptional paint matching and application is by the legend that is Crazefox. No mean feat either, the Aprilia Cult White is white with a blue pearl.

Installation by me. It required a bit of fiddling but was largely straight forward. The only tools needed were a 15mm spanner and a set of Allan keys.

Now I just have to get it dirty!

On the RHS there's a Z bracket as part of a mounting kit. The bottom of which bolts onto the shaft that holds the bottom of the shock. On the LHS there's a metal tab that extends a mounting hole upwards, the bottom of which is secured onto the front screw hole for the OEM chain guard.

Perhaps not an Ohlins. The rear will probably get a linkage set-up and an external reservoir for the OEM ZF Sachs. The front will get adjustable emulators, which should improve the rebound a treat.

Exhaust mods will start with the removal of the cat.

How is the zumo, way up there, and unprotected?

I would have thought it would be easier lower down, on the left bar?

Purdy in white, but it must be a bastard to keep clean

Having owned white vehicles I'd have to say it's the low maintenance option. They look whitish no matter how filthy, then they look superb when you clean them. Maroon looks hideous when it is dusty. Black looks like crap covered in water spots, and red looks particularly yucky covered in dead bugs.

Unprotected from what? It's a zumo. It's completely weather sealed. Are you guys only just starting to get what I've been talking about for months? This isn't some Tomtom or Navman that you need to wrap Gladwrap(TM) around or put in your lunchbox to keep the weather off. It's a zumo. It's a purpose-built GPS for motorcycles. Buy one.

    Looking good.

I like the tiered bits in the middle - different.

PS - pretty sure it's Allen key - but you knew that right
