We now have 30 registered although one is marginal and I'm still awaiting details for two others.

Right! Im in for this. Sorry I missed last year but the 1st one was brilliant. Not going down south for the Burt Munro this year so I need a decent ride.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.

Had a great ride the early part of the day. Unfortunately, when we hit the gravel that slowed us down sufficiently that the group I was with lost quite a bit of time. Then we came across Grub's accident which again caused us to stop for a while and then continue at a slightly slower pace than we would have.
All the delay's resulted in us ending up on the back roads up Sanson way in the dark and getting slightly lost.
So as one of the group that did finish last year, but took significantly longer than we should have, I'm looking forward to doing it again this year (only alot faster)
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

We came, We listened, And in one voice we answered

I am with Kari this year John and she has talked to you. I am all excited because I can actually understand the trip guide now!! Last year I was one of the ones that got slowed down just after Ashurst after taking 3 bloody wrong turns!

    NOT THIS YEAR!

This looks like a great ride, I'm keen.
Hope I can make it around in time, with all the refueling stops for the VTR.

You should be fine! My Ape does about the same per tank as you (I think), & you wont have an issuse.

SweetP did the first 1000K ride on her FXR150 after only riding for about 5 months.

That was impressive and has set the bar!
