Ride her every day... while you still can!
Great day. Highlights were the company, the Piecoc, the Para's, the Mangakino area and making it homeTrip stats. 1064.4 km's, 11 hours 23 minutes moving, average speed 93 kph, 5.7 litres/100 kms.
Excellent ride all![]()
It's only Rock and Roll but I like it
Mystery solved. I now know why there weren't any other bikes coming through Hunterville while we were stopped there.

Have toKarma ... Justice catches up eventually !!
Well the "woohoo" from me was for exactly that reason. That was the best trip I have ever had across that stretch of road.
All of stars or moons or planets were alined and the result was 74 kms of nirvana. New tires, clean & clear road, basically no traffic and away I went.
The link road from Te Kawa was another woohoo moment to. Had to go and shake Johns hand when I got back in to say thanks for showing me such a awesome stretch of tarmac.
My mate Rob & I made an unexpected stop in Mangaweka on the way back and got caught up in a Hens Party. Ended up taking the bride to be for a scoot up the road & back. She had to do 3 things she had never done before as a challenge and she had never ridden on a motorbike or never been 100 mph. So.... we were able to help knock 1 or 2 off the list.
Love this ride & will do it every time I can. Great crew & fellow riders and always interesting.
Edit: Uploaded a couple of pics
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.

Meet friend Colin in Taumarnui for lunch and he then joined in , riding his Electra Glide as far as the Turangi Taumarnui turnoff north of the Lake.
