Lets get something straight right now and stop chopping on about it. My bike is fast for a 4 stroke 150 full stop. I can ride it ok but have a lot to learn. Saturday in the dry I was all over lots of different street stocks. Check the lap times of the last race Sunday, last lap faster time than a 250 twin. Fact woodyracer has a lot to learn about engines and riding. Fact I was hung over and really had no intention off pushing it to the limit as I am still recovering from the crash at Taupo.
you are a great rider, i do have alot to learn with ss150 bikes........to be honest i dont realy like them......i prefer more predicable power, i was riding my bike quite poorly, as i hadnt riden manfeild before and i would rather not crash. Ive got alot to learn about engines.......and ive also got alot of time to learn about engines.......being only 15.......i never said i was the fastest, best, coolest ect.......i jsut said richbans bike is quick, its not as nearly as fast as a ss150 bike on the straights, BUT it does have more toque therefore having better drive out of corners, my powerband has to kick in before i can get out of a corner at a decent speed,
I had more fun on the cbr than i had on the krr, because handling wise and race positon wise it suites me more. Its just a pity i wont have the cbr up to spec for manfield nationals.
"BUT it does have more toque therefore having better drive out of corners, my powerband has to kick in before i can get out of a corner at a decent speed"
To be honest-Rich rode the fuck out of his bike-manning up more than anyone else out there-he deserves far more credit than his bike-even though it was running rough at times to! (Him and the bike?)
Um, if you're waiting for power band...why don't you change down a gear or ride the clutch?
good point, i am to 2 smokers remeber.......i did change down ect, but still when you go slow into a corner {as i do in the wet} when you come out of it does take a 1 second for the power to come on, but when it odes it pulls realy nicley, its jsut a different type of power
So HP is Torque x revs / constant (5200ish)
so let me get this right; that will mean with more torque but less power, Rich's bike must rev quite a lot lower than a KR150 -right? So Rich is always talking about 12,000 peak. Where is the KR? 18,000? How does that work then? I'm learning so much.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
