na it was more toque than anything else, i can assure you richban's FXR is jsut as quick as a ss150, as its power is more usable, plus richban can ride the bike realy well- that helps,

Str8 Jacket, i think he Missed the point.

Anyway even with the rain it was a fun weekend...

Really impressed with the bucket that made it out there; turning some very quick pace; so to show a small bike with a good rider will go fast...

hummm i think I've got a lot of work to do, the bike is o.k. but the rider needs to harden up ( I had to use my fav hanky)....

Cheers PMCC, and thanks for letting the stinky old buckets out on the track, it was a sh!t load of fun.

the only down'er I saw over the weekend was some goon ripping up the grass in the pits when loading his bike on the trailer being a real hero; at the end of Sunday. you know who you are....

Cheers PMCC and Nigel, As Bert said, great weekend, Thanks again can't wait till taupo.

Imagine how cool it would be around Paeroa!!!!!
To late this year but would it be worth getting enough interested buckets to make some noise about next year or has this been done and not viable!?!
Just an idea, maybe a dumb idea but an idea all the same.

thats not a dumb idea at all, nigel is organising a hastings street race at the moment for next year and he might put buckets in it. But since buckets is such a big class, and so cool to watch maybe someone with writing telents can write to the organisers of paeroa.

If not we could invade F3......

Cheers to everyone that helped make this event happen. Also thanks for making me feel welcome BBQ was fab. I will be trying to make it to one of the Taupo events wallet permitting.

Bit of a race report from me.

Saturday was so much fun. I had a couple of little intake mods to try out and quickly found that the bike liked a shorter intake than expected. It now runs straight from the carb no trumpet needed. Had some great fun keeping pace with bikes 100 HP up on the bucket. Heaps of grip and Heaps of fun.

    Sunday
Well lets just say the plan was a 6 pack and bed. Thanks AJ for all the bourbon!
Lets just say with the rain and the hangover motorbike racing didn't seem so important. Qualifying: went out and the bike started to play up a big style. Seamed 2 rich. Changed the setup back to how I had it a Taupo for race one. Race one and everything went well untill about lap 3 and she just started to backfire as soon as the throttle came off full to got so bad I pulled off on lap 5 cos I thought it might die. I put the dodgy airbox back on for race 2 and hopped for the best. Now I must say there was some serious start jumping going on you know who you are. Race 2 went well but still backfiring a bit. I lost almost all power at 3/4 throttle. At one stage I was clutching it out of the corners to get it back on the main jet. Anyway happy to keep it upright.

As far as the bike being as quick as a street stock nah don't think so. On the straights I was getting left but slicks v tt900s under breaks should win every-time. It was encouraging how well it did go.

Umm, becuase we had a split grid and you took off with the Classics. I remember because I was there, right beside you in fact!

Not my point.... My point is, is that you need to practice starts and pay attention. It could've ended badly in any other scenario! In Vic club you wont have been gridded on the front row and if you do the same thing there, you are going to hit someone.

Just something for you to think about....
